Patrick S.M. Casey, Associate
Patrick is a business attorney who handles complex business and real estate transactions. He specializes in representing clients in complicated or difficult matters involving the sale or acquisition of a business or real estate, leasing and financing transactions, shareholder transactions (including shareholder investments and buy-outs) and general business negotiations. Patrick also advises clients on due diligence investigations into businesses or real estate, lease and easement negotiations, 1031 tax deferred exchanges, formation and dissolution of business entities, CCRs for homeowner’s associations, real property disputes and various business and real estate contracts. He has been representing clients in business and real estate deals for over 30 years. In addition to being a licensed California attorney, he is also a California Certified Public Accountant. His knowledge of tax and finance allows him to understand financial statements and loan documents and provide clients with pertinent business advice in addition to legal counsel.
Patrick is on the board of directors of the Monterey County Bar Association and is on the advisory counsel for Peace of Mind Dog Rescue. Both he and his wife are actively involved in supporting and volunteering for Peace of Mind Dog Rescue. In his free time, Patrick enjoys backpacking, swimming and running in addition to traveling to new and interesting places with his wife. He has completed 500 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail and is working on completing the entire Pacific Crest Trail in stages.
